Draw on monday #16 - Routine
01:26J'avais envie de dessiner autre chose qu'un personnage blanc, car je vois que je passe à côté de superbes accords chromatiques, et puis bah, de tout un morceau de la population. Après, je comprends que je dessine des personnages en me basant sur moi-même, et que par conséquent, je n'ai pas le réflexe de dessiner des personnages que je n'ai jamais pu étudier dans un miroir pendant 23 ans (je ne vis pas devant un miroir, hein, c'est l'idée!), comme un vieux monsieur indien bedonnant par exemple. Bref, you 'better work b****, comme le dirait Britney.

I wanted to draw something other than a white person, because I see that I'm missing stunning chromatic chords, and overmore, an entire part of the population. After, I understand that I draw characters based on myself, and therefore I do not have the instinct to draw characters that I could never look in the mirror for 23 years (I do live in front of a mirror, huh, that's the idea!), as a portly old indian gentleman for instance. In short, you 'better work b ****, as Britney would say.
