Quand je suis arrivée sur Paris, j'ai pris un pass cité de la science/palais de la découverte car il été rentabilisé pour la session de conférences qui m’intéressait. Or Paris redevient occasionnel dès l'an prochain, il me fallait donc profiter un poil plus de ce pass.
    Bien au courant des choses (er-um...), je croyais que cela ne me permettait que d’accéder aux exposition permanentes (et donc de revoir ce que j'ai vu et re-verrai). Mais pour mon plus grand soulagement, j'avais quand même également accès aux expos temporaires, et même aux petits planétariums.
     J'avais noté qu'avait lieu une expo sur le LHC. Je croyais qu'il ne s'agissait que des photos, sagement encadré le long de murs blancs, donc je n'y avais pas prêté beaucoup d’attention. Puis je me suis décidé à y aller tout de même, car bon, c'était compris dans mon pass.
Et bam! Ce n'était pas qu'une simple exposition, c'était une véritable expérience! (Bon, je ne suis peut-être pas impartiale car ça m'a beaucoup rappelé certains de mes projets réalisés ou non, ou des directions que j'appréciais. Je plaide coupable!).
EN// When I arrived in Paris, I took a city of science / palace of discovery pass as I needed it for the lectures that interested me. But Paris will become occasional next year, so I had to use this pass a bit more. Well aware of the terms (er-um ...), I thought it only allowed me to access the permanent exhibition (and therefore see what I saw and will see again). But to my great relief, I had equal access to temporary exhibitions, even for small planetariums. I noticed an exhibition was going on about the LHC. I thought it was just pictures, wisely framed on white walls, so I did not pay much attention. Then I decided to go there anyway, because hey, it was included in my pass. And bam! It was not a mere exhibition, it was a real experience! (Well, I am perhaps not impartial because it reminded me a lot some of my projects realized or not, or directions that I appreciated. I plead guilty!).

     Pour la mise en bouche, une de mes images. On à l'impression d'être sous terre, comme là où est construit le LHC. Dans le cœur d'un musée, ça tombe bien. L'éclairage est froid, les murs habillés comme des murs de salles telles qu'on les imagine là-bas (et l'entrée de l'expo est encore différente!). Il y a plein de schémas techniques qui détaillent un peu les éléments qui composent de la bête.
     Puis il y à ces croquis, qui expliquent simplement ce qui se passe dessous tous ces termes techniques et cette science folle..
    For the appetizer, one of my images. We feel like we are on the underground, like where is built the LHC. In the heart of a museum, that's good. The lighting is cold, the walls dressed as walls of rooms such as what we imagine them there (and the entrance of the exhibition is different again!). There are plenty of technical drawings that detail some of the components of the beast. Then there these sketches, which simply explain what happens underneath all these technical terms and this mad science ..

     Dans ce couloir, scénographie au poil (là c'est leurs photos hein):
- salle courbée qui reprend l'idée de la forme de la bête
- coupe et schéma sur les murs comme si on touchait la bête
- établis, panneaux (et des éléments plus incongrus, mais là il faut le voir en vrai, petit curieux) nous parlant d'événements marquants et de faits intéressants.
    In this corridor, the scenography is on point (this is their photos eh):
 - curved room that reminds the shape of the beast
- cutting and drawings on the walls as if we could touched the beast
- workbenches, panels (and most incongruous elements, but then you have to see it irl, oh you) telling us of milestones and interesting facts.


     Dans la salle ci-dessous, l'idée absolument géniale est la projection:
- sur la fresque murale pour animer les murs
- sur la table, où des éléments exclusivement blancs sont disposés, et ou est projeté texte, dessin; qui tous s'animent.
    In the room below, the absolutely brilliant idea is the projection:
- the mural to liven up the walls
- on the table, where only white elements are arranged, and where is projected text or drawing; all coming alive.


    Il y a encore plein de détails et d'idées scénographique hyper intéressantes. On a l'impression de fouiller dans des documents, de découvrir par nous-même! Si après ça les gosses ne veulent pas s’intéresser aux sciences, je ne comprends pas! Alors certes, quand je suis passé, je devais être la plus jeune, mais il était assez tard. On y croit!

    There are still plenty of details and awesome scenography ideas. It like digging in documents, and descovering classified things! If after this, the kids aren't curious about science, I do not understand! Sure, when I went there, I had to be the youngest, but it was quite late. I believe in it!
